The Winter Warmer Festival

The Winter Warmer is a multilingual poetry festival held in Cork City, Ireland. It is run under the auspices of Ó Bhéal, Ireland's leading poetry event. Since its inauguration in 2013 it is held each November.

The Festival is a highlight of Cork’s literary calendar, a unique annual event that hosts 23+ renowned poets and performers from Ireland and abroad.

It also features the Ó Bhéal International Poetry-Film competition screenings, along with poetry collaborations with dance, theatre and other art forms as well as poetry accompanied by music and a closed-mic set dedicated to emerging local poets.

In 2018 the festival expanded to four days thanks to our ECIC (European Community of Inclusive Cultures) partnership with festivals from four European countries: Festival dos Eidos (Galicia, Spain), Festival Literário da Madeira (Portugal), Salerno Letteratura Festival (Italy) and LitFest.eu Festival de Voulmentin (France). The 2019 festival took place over three days.
